Provides digital literacy training and tech support to older Canadians
Connected Canadians was set up in 2018 to provide digital skills training to older people who struggle with computers and to reduce isolation and loneliness. Volunteers usually work one-on-one with clients or deliver workshops, solving clients' problems as they go. Because of the need for social distancing, all volunteering has to be done remotely for the time being. But given how we have all had to switch social contact for screen time, helping older people to navigate the digital world has never been more important.
