Providing support to elderly people in Britain
Age UK have seen an unprecedented increase in the demand for their services as older people are feeling especially isolated and anxious during the COVID-19 outbreak. To support them, they've provided over 100,00 befriending calls and answered nearly 50,000 calls for advice while 130 local Age UK groups are delivering food pacages and transporting people home from hospital. To support this vital work for the most at-risk group in the country, you can donate, volunteer to feth groceries or become a digital buddy, helping an older person get to grips with new gadgets.
